Big changes are coming to Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort over the next few years. According to recently filed plans, seven new buildings will be added to the venerable Disney moderate resort, including a large building that might house Disney Vacation Club villas.
According to this thread on the WDW Magic forums, work is set to begin later this year with a targeted completion date of 2019.
Disney Vacation Club at Caribbean Beach?
It’s possible that the expansion is to make way for more DVC villas, similar to what Disney has already done with other resorts such as the Polynesian. Caribbean Beach does make a lot of sense for Disney Vacation Club given the theming of the resort, and this would not be surprising considering how hard Disney has been pushing DVC in recent years. There’s been nothing officially confirmed by Disney, however, so it is all merely speculation at this point.
What do you think about the possibility of DVC coming to this hotel? Have you stayed at the resort, and what do you think about it? Comment below!
