According to the Hollywood Reporter, Disney has announced a bunch of release dates for it’s upcoming films and they have switched release dates for Star Wars Episode IX and the live-action Aladdin movie.
Star Wars IX has been pushed back several months. This comes after the announcement of J.J. Abrams taking over as director on Star Wars Episode IX. The new Star Wars release date will now be December 20, 2019, and not the previous May 24, 2019 date. Instead, the upcoming live-action re-imagined Aladdin, will open on the May 24, 2019 date. So basically Disney swapped them around.
Golden Screen Cinemas on Twitter posted this with the new dates.
