The new Pixar Pier is set to open on June 23, at Disney California Adventure Park at the Disneyland Resort.
Today the Disney Parks Blog released some new concept art for the newly themed area including a brand new ride, Jessie’s Critter Carousel, opening in 2019.

Before we look at Jessie’s new ride, let’s look at the concept art for the parts opening this summer.

Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats

There will be a new frozen treat stand called the Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats. Inspired by the abominable monster in Monsters Inc.  (I’m sure the yellow snow will be safe like the movie.)

Poultry Palace

The new Poultry Palace will be located around the “Toy Story” neighborhood area of the Pixar Pier. Inspired by the Pixar Short Toy Story Toon: Small Fry.  I love how it looks like a large kids meal, complete with Zurg “toy.”

Señor Buzz Churros

This one is amusing. It’s Señor Buzz Churros. A throwback to when Buzz was switched into Spanish mode, and of course churros, because you can’t swing a Woody toy around Disneyland without hitting a stand selling yummy churros.

Angry Dogs

Down further on the Pixar Pier will be Angry Dogs. A place to grab some spicy items. Burn up with Anger from Inside Out.

These are great!

Coming next year will be a new attraction called Jessie’s Critter Carousel.

Here’s the write up from the Disney Parks Blog:

“In 2019, Jessie the yodeling cowgirl will invite you for a rootin’ tootin’ spin on Jessie’s Critter Carousel. Inspired by Jessie’s wilderness friends in the “Woody’s Roundup” television show from “Toy Story 2,” this newly reimagined attraction is a classic boardwalk carousel with a whimsical spin. Saddle up on one of 56 adorable friends, choosing from a turtle, snake, buzzard, armadillo, bunny, deer, raccoon, ram, skunk and two cozy logs inhabited by a family of owls.”

These are so cute! I can’t wait to check out these great new additions coming to the Pixar Pier!
