Disney Reveals ‘Skyliner’ Gondola System and ‘Minnie Vehicles’ for Walt Disney World Resort

The new Walt Disney World gondola system has been confirmed and now has a name Skyliners.  Bob Chapek, Chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, announced the new Skyliners at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, CA.

The new sky-way transportation system will connect Disney’s Art of Animation, Pop Century, and Caribbean Beach resorts and other unspecified locations with Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and the International Gateway at Epcot.  The skyliners will feature adorable Disney characters too!  I love the Haunted Mansion one!  I see they are using the Mickey and Minnie designs from the shorts on the Disney Channel and the inspirations for the upcoming Mickey and Minnie Runaway Railway at Disney Hollywood Studios.

AT D23 EXPO 2017, DISNEY PARKS CHAIRMAN BOB CHAPEK ANNOUNCES DISNEY SKYLINER COMING TO WALT DISNEY WORLD RESORT — A whole new transportation system called Disney Skyliner will give guests a birds-eye view of Walt Disney World Resort.

This will not be the only new transportation offering for the Walt Disney World Parks.  I think these are the vehicles for the new Uber type service Disney was rumored to offer soon.  They are called Minnie Vehicles, for obvious reasons.

According to the Disney Parks Blog

“Since we’re all about exceeding guest expectations and making every aspect of your vacation uniquely Disney, we’re creating a new point-to-point transportation service in a way that only Disney can do,” Bob said.

The Minnie vehicles will take you everywhere you want to go at the Walt Disney World Resort, and you’ll ride in Minnie’s classic style.

These vehicles are adorable!
