Epcot Debuts ‘Lotus’ Nighttime PhotoPass Opportunity in China Pavilion

Apparently nighttime PhotoPass props are all the rage in Walt Disney World, as it was announced today that you will be able to get a picture taken with a lighted lotus flower in the Epcot China Pavilion. Photographers will be available from 7:30 p.m. on, weather permitting.

These elaborate details obviously make this a beautiful place to take photos, so I’m excited to share that Disney PhotoPass Service is now offering a new way for you to take home a remarkable keepsake of your visit into our “Forbidden City.”

The lotus prop looks very similar to the lanterns used in the Tangled photo opportunity.

Perhaps these will become commonplace throughout Walt Disney World. It’s easy to imagine Disney using some sort of lighted prop when Pandora – The World of Avatar opens next month.

Although I have to wonder why they didn’t use a lotus as a Rivers of Light prop. Instead, you get… a sign with the logo.
