Hurricane Irma: What Disney World looked like as it prepared for the storm.

As Hurricane Irma tore its way through Florida, Walt Disney World went into emergency mode by closing the parks and battening down the hatches.

While there was some joking around right before the storm…

Things got real serious, real quick.

Many people took to Twitter to post photos of some of these preparations, which ranged from wrapping street lights…

Although some were alleging that Disney did not put its animals away during the storm…

… but SeaWorld brought it flamingos inside…

With millions out of power in Florida, clear that life will not return to normal immediately following the storm. However, Disney still plans to reopen the parks tomorrow unless we’re told otherwise. Stay tuned to The Kingdom Insider for more storm information as we hear it.
