The next Star Wars movie is less than two months away, and Disney is kicking the international promotion of The Last Jedi into hyperdrive.
A new trailer was released in Japan that spoils… well, nothing. In fact, its essentially the same trailer that was released a few weeks ago, save for a few new shots.
Lucasfilm has been very guarded with the plot of The Last Jedi, probably so as to not spoiler the “mother of all Star Wars reveals” that was teased a few months ago.
Still, that hasn’t stopped the internet from speculating on the alleged big plot twist, which has included theories on Luke Skywalker being evil and Rey being a reincarnation of Anakin Skywalker. Could either of those be true, or is director Rian Johnson going to throw us all a huge curve ball this December?
A New International Poster
While the U.S. poster shows Luke Skywalker looming large over the rest of the cast, the Japanese poster swaps Luke for Rey. What’s of particular interest is that Luke is wielding Anakin’s blue lightsaber… the one he lost in the infamous duel with Vader on Bespin (along with his hand.)
