Live-Action ‘Winnie the Pooh’ to star Ewan McGregor as Christopher Robin?

Ewan McGregor is in talks to play an adult Christopher Robin in Disney’s upcoming live-action Winnie the Pooh.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the plot of the film will center on an adult Christopher Robin who is now more focused on business than he is on imagination.

An adult man reconnecting with a talking teddy bear from his youth? It sounds to me like a kinder, gentler Ted.

McGregor is certainly doing a lot with Disney these days. McGregor was recently in the mega-hit Beauty and the Beast as Lumiere, and is perhaps best known to audiences as the young Obi-Wan Kenobi from the Star Wars prequel trilogy. There’s been a rumor that McGregor might even land his own Obi-Wan spinoff movie, as his voice was heard during Rey’s Force vision in The Force Awakens.
