According to Show Director James Silson, projections are one of many invaluable storytelling tools used in “Happily Ever After,” in addition to new hand-drawn animation, an original score and the latest in fireworks, lasers and pyrotechnics.
The “castle shows” were first introduced in 2010 with ‘The Magic, The Memories & You.’ Since that time, there have been multiple iterations of the show, the most recent being the ‘Wishes Nighttime Spectacular,’ which ends in favor of ‘Happily Ever After.’
‘Happily Ever After’ premieres in the Magic Kingdom on May 12, 2017. It will feature 2-D animation and characters from newer Disney releases such as Big Hero 6 and Zootopia. It will also feature a new theme song, which we previewed here.
