Is the Main Street Electrical Parade returning to Walt Disney World?
Disney announced a ton of changes to its parks during last weekend’s D23 Expo. One of those was the announcement of Pixar Pier in Disney California Adventure. Part of the announcement stated that the Paint the Night parade would be returning to Disneyland (albeit at California Adventure) and that a new float would be added.
There was a rumor that Paint the Night was “packed and ready to go” to Disney World, but that is obviously not happening.
With the Main Street Electrical Parade scheduled to leave Disneyland in August, does that mean it’s finally returning to Walt Disney World?
I’d say there’s a pretty good chance of that happening, unless the parade goes on a “world tour” to other Disney parks around the globe, or Disney decides to permanently retire it.
The word on the street is that Disney is working on a next-gen replacement for the aging parade, but it’s uncertain if that will be ready to debut anytime in the near future. For now, East Coast Disney fans can hope to see the return of this classic sometime this Fall.
And if not? Well, Happily Ever After is a pretty good consolation.
