Mobile Order Coming to Disneyland

Mobile Order has proven to be a hit with Walt Disney World guests, and now Disneyland will be adding the service to its own app as well.

Mobile Order allows Disney parks guests to pre-order their food via their mobile phone, and pick it when they’re ready to eat. It’s currently available at many counter service restaurants across Walt Disney World via the My Disney Experience App.

While details on which Disneyland restaurants will utilize the feature has yet to be revealed, Disney has released the following information on the Disney Parks Blog…

“Using the new mobile ordering service, guests will be able to easily search for a participating location, select an arrival time window for pickup, choose items from the menu and place their order. As an added convenience, Annual Passholders will be able to apply their discount to meal purchases using the app. Guests notify the restaurant of their arrival on the app and within minutes, an app notification indicates the meal is ready to pick up at a designated window – without ever waiting in line to order and pay.”

Disneyland is adding more and more features that its east coast cousin has, including MaxPass (similar to Disney World’s FastPass+) and the addition of another luxury resort. Can MagicBands be far behind?

I've loved Disney as long as I can remember. As a former newspaper editor, web developer, and Disney comics freelancer, I'm able to combine that experience into writing about Disney online. I'm also the co-host of a Disney fan podcast called 'Pirates & Princesses.' Opinions mine.
