MuppetVision 3D Closes for Unannounced Refurbishment

MuppetVision 3D closed for refurbishment on July 28th and will re-open on August 2, 2017. While no one is 100% certain why it has suddenly closed, many Disney fans are speculating that it may have something to do with broken effects, damage from nearby construction, or just a much needed upgrade to the projector.

The aging attraction received a new sign a month ago — one that looks kind of temporary, and would allow for shows to easily be switched out. With tMuppetVision 3D already removed from Disney California Adventure, let’s hope that Kermit doesn’t have one flipper out the door in Hollywood Studios (even if his longtime performer has already gotten the boot!)

Disney’s Hollywood Studios is currently in the midst of a massive construction project that will see the inclusion of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Land. So far nothing new has been announced for The Muppets IP at the park.

I've loved Disney as long as I can remember. As a former newspaper editor, web developer, and Disney comics freelancer, I'm able to combine that experience into writing about Disney online. I'm also the co-host of a Disney fan podcast called 'Pirates & Princesses.' Opinions mine.
