We’ve been hearing from some people that there have been issues at Animal Kingdom’s Pandora: The World of Avatar the last couple of days.
Apparently yesterday, 4/25, had both of the Pandora attractions closed down for the day. Today we are hearing that the Na’vi River Journey is closed for today 4/26 and Flight of Passage might have times where it doesn’t operate at full capacity.
I did some looking around and WDWNT had this information. I know they know a lot of cast members who work down there.
Sources close to the matter tell us that an issue with the fire alarms is resulting in the attraction downtimes. Both Na’vi River Journey and Avatar Flight of Passage are housed in the same show building, which is one massive structure behind the floating mountains of Pandora.
That’s the large building you can see from the bus stop when you arrive to the parks.
We were wondering what they would do for the FastPass+ reservations. Normally, you come back later if it’s working or they switch to a pass for any comparable level attraction. WDWNT also had info on this.
FastPass+ reservations from 4/25 have been rebooked to 4/26 for guests who wish to experience these attractions, pending their opening. Stay tuned as we keep you informed if and when these attractions return to normal operation.
I’m interested to see how this might cause issues for people who had Flight of Passage FastPass+ for today or if it’s going to cause the stand-by line to move even slower with two days worth of FastPass+ guests.
