As we mentioned previously, Walt Disney World is going to implement a new process for lost and found items.
Disney is using a system (Chargerback.com) to help guests locate lost items. Chargerback is an online form that allows guests to report what is missing, when it was lost and contact information so Disney can attempt to locate and return your lost item.
How do I use the new Lost and Found system?
If you lose an item at any of the Walt Disney World Theme Parks, Disney Springs, Disney Transportation (buses, monorails, and watercraft,) Disney Water Parks or ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, you can use this new system to report your lost item.
First off you will go to the Disney page set up for lost and found HERE. From there you can link to the Chargerback system to report your lost item.
Once they receive the form you will get an email notification with a “lost item claim number.” Then the team will search and update you with and email within 48 hours. Disney states:
“We recognize that your item is important to you and will contact you if we believe we have found it or need further information.”
What if I lost my items at the Resort Hotel or on the Magic Express Transportation?
If you lose an item at a resort hotel you need to contact Resort Lobby Concierge for assistance instead of using the online form.
If your item is lost on the Magical Express there is another way to report it. If it’s been lost for less than 30 mins call (866) 599-0951, if the item has been lost for longer please contact Mears Transportation Group at (407) 423-5566.
What if I don’t know where I lost my item?
If you aren’t sure follow the website link to Chargerback and they can start there.
Valuable items will be held for 30-90 days. This includes items like phones, wallets, purses, credit cards, prescription glasses, cameras, etc.
