Power Outage at Disneyland Leaves Guests Stuck on Rides

The happiest place on Earth is just a little less happy right now, as Disneyland is experiencing a power outage that left guests trapped on rides.

According to ABC 7 in Los Angeles, the power outage occurred as the park was reaching capacity and affected Toontown and Fantasyland.

A Disneyland spokesperson said power is down in Toontown and Fantasyland, and crews are working to restore it.

They added that guests are being escorted off “about a dozen” rides, including the popular Monorail.

Of course people have taken to social media to try and document the situation.

Currently guests are being escorted off of rides, but there is no word as to when the power will be restored.

Guests can re-enter Disneyland, and Disney California Adventure is operating as usual.

I've loved Disney as long as I can remember. As a former newspaper editor, web developer, and Disney comics freelancer, I'm able to combine that experience into writing about Disney online. I'm also the co-host of a Disney fan podcast called 'Pirates & Princesses.' Opinions mine.
