Get those Mickey Santa Hats and Christmas Light Necklaces ready! For the second year in a row, Disney is bringing back the Holiday Nighttime Spectacular “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!”. This show replaced the long-standing and beloved “The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights.” This new show features fireworks, music, laser lights and projections finishing off with some snow as the show concludes.
Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!
Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! debuted last year to mixed reviews. Kenny the Pirate said;
We received a disappointing projection show with few large-scale fireworks except the 90 second grand finale. Most of the time I felt like I was watching a fireworks show presented by Universal, instead of Disney. It was mostly low-level single shot burst that come from the left and far right of the viewer.
And Touring Plans stated;
Overall, Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM is a fun and festive show. There are just a tiny handful of tributes to the Osborne Lights, but they do not fill the hole completely. I suggest you enjoy the show independent of any notions that it is somehow a replacement of the legendary Osborne Lights. Instead, step back and enjoy all the effects for what they are and let the spirit of the season wash over you
While Touring Plan’s statement offers some “light,” many reviews are not overly positive. Hopefully this year Disney improves upon this show. We have seen the Magic they have created in “Happily Ever After” and “Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular.” Did you not get a chance to see it for yourself last year? Check out the video below,from Attractions Magazine, to see last year’s show.
The schedule for this show has yet to be released but stay tuned for more information as it comes out.
