A Theatrical Journey – Walt Disney World Resort guests can take a ride through the most famous film sets in silver screen history at The Great Movie Ride at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Housed in a full-scale reproduction of Hollywood’s world-famous Chinese Theater, the ride-through attraction travels through a soundstage tour of such memorable movie scenes as the “Casablanca” airport farewell, the Yellow Brick Road to Emerald City from “Wizard of Oz,” the “Raiders of the Lost Ark” Well of Souls and many more. Could we be getting closer to a renaming of Disney’s Hollywood Studios?

It’s possible, if a thread at WDW Magic is to be believed.

A few months ago, Disney was surveying guests with possible names for the re-imagined park. Some of the names included Cinemagic Park, Hollywood Adventure and Cinemagine Park and the truly awful Kaleidoscope Park.

According to insiders who post on the forum, the leading contender seems to be…

(Drumroll please.)

Disney’s Cinemagine Park.

It’s not great, but not as awful as Kaleidoscope Park. Commenters said that it sounds a lot like Cinnabon Park, and I have to agree.

But hey, maybe they could bring back Starring Rolls and the cinnamon buns? Maybe?

Personally, I liked Hollywood Adventure.

Again, the name change is all purely rumor at this point. But with changes being announced at Hollywood Studios almost weekly, it’s likely that very little of the “Hollywood” will be left by the time Disney is done with the makeover.

I've loved Disney as long as I can remember. As a former newspaper editor, web developer, and Disney comics freelancer, I'm able to combine that experience into writing about Disney online. I'm also the co-host of a Disney fan podcast called 'Pirates & Princesses.' Opinions mine.

  1. The word “Cinemagine” is a registered trademark by the Cinemagine Media Limited. I don’t see Disney using another Media companies name for one of their Theme Parks.
