Could Disney delay the opening of the Hall of President until mid to late 2018?

It’s possible, according to the latest rumor from WDWNT. The site claims that they’ve been in contact with Disney cast members that have stated that venerable audio-animatronic show will not re-open until mid-2018 at the earliest.

The Hall of Presidents went down for refurbishment in January 2017, just days before Donald Trump’s inauguration.

Disney had initially stated that the attraction would re-open in “late 2017.” Earlier this year, the company had stated that there were extensive upgrades being done to the theater, but that a Trump animatronic would be part of the show and would have a speaking role.

One theory is that Disney is playing it by ear at this point. President Trump’s election was one of the most polarizing political events in memory, and proceeding with his addition could set off a flurry of complaints from detractors.

Or maybe it is just some other technical issue after all. Who knows?

Currently there is no official opening date for the Hall of Presidents in Walt Disney World. Stay tuned to The Kingdom Insider for more information as we hear it.
