RUMOR – Mission: SPACE will ditch “Orange” and “Green” names

Mission SPACE | Epcot Future World | Walt Disney World

When Mission: SPACE comes back online from its lengthy refurbishment later this year, the word is that the missions will no longer be designated at “Green” and “Orange.”

WDW News Today reports that the more intense orange mission will be renamed “Mars” while the less intense family-friendly version will be named “Earth.”

It was announced at D23 earlier this year that a brand new Green mission was coming. According to Imagineer Tom Fitzgerald, it would be like “Soarin’ around the Earth.”

Mission: SPACE is scheduled to re-open sometime in August.

I've loved Disney as long as I can remember. As a former newspaper editor, web developer, and Disney comics freelancer, I'm able to combine that experience into writing about Disney online. I'm also the co-host of a Disney fan podcast called 'Pirates & Princesses.' Opinions mine.
