RUMOR – ‘The Sum of All Thrills’ to Re-Open in Epcot?

With the Universe of Energy now closed, and Epcot’s new attractions at least a year away, Disney may be looking at re-opening an old favorite in Innoventions East.

There’s been some buzz about The Sum of All Thrills being opened once again. For those of you who aren’t familiar with it, it was a roller coaster simulator attraction in Innoventions East that’s been closed since late 2016.

The Sum of All Thrills closed last September, along with another attraction — Storm Struck. The rumor is that Disney may re-open either The Sum of All Thrills or all of Innoventions East to accommodate crowds looking for something to do while it preps Guardians of the Galaxy and Ratatouille.

But it’s doubtful that the attraction would stay open for very long, as concept art for the re-imagined Future World doesn’t include Innoventions at all. Rather, it seems to depict a wide open “central spine” with many newer, smaller buildings.

The Future of Future World: It looks like Innoventions will be gone, replaced with smaller buildings and an open Central Spine.

There’s currently no indication if shuttered attractions in Innoventions West will re-open.
