Does Luke turn to the Dark Side? Is Yoda in ‘The Last Jedi?’ Is Rey Luke’s daughter? Will Princess Leia die?
The Force may be with spoiler seekers this weekend, as the latest Star Wars film has its world premiere on Saturday, September 9th in Tokyo.
There is a review embargo in place for ‘The Last Jedi’ and its rumored to be lifted on December 12th. However, there is no social media embargo, so those seeking to avoid Star Wars spoilers may want to stay off Twitter and Facebook.
The hotly anticipated eighth installment of the franchise has been very successful in hiding major plot points so far, something that’s become increasingly hard to do in the internet age.
Will there be a “I am your father” moment?
Rumors were swirling months ago that The Last Jedi will drop “the mother of all Star Wars plot twists,” yet no one has seemingly been able to figure it out. Some theories include Luke turning to the Dark Side, Snoke being Palpatine’s master Darth Plagueis and even Rey being a reincarnation of Darth Vader himself, Anakin Skywalker.
Mark Hamill Urges Fans to Not Spoil ‘The Last Jedi’
While Luke Skywalker actor Mark Hamill has been teasing fans with non-spoilers for the past few years, he’s been pretty vocal about how he feels about spoiling the film for others — just don’t.
The #WaitForVIII is nearly over! Let me take this opportunity to personally ask you to keep all that happens in #TheLastJedi a secret for as long as is humanly possible. Thanking you ALL in advance, ❤️- mh #LooseLipsSinkStarships pic.twitter.com/LAkhSMVI0N

However, there will be those who post spoilers simply to ruin the fun for everyone else.
And they should consider themselves lucky that Force choking isn’t a real thing.
