With Toy Story Land set to open in Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios later this year, tweaks are being made to the existing Toy Story attraction — Toy Story Midway Mania.
According to WDWNT, Toy Story Midway Mania’s third track is closing for modification as the attraction will become part of Toy Story Land beginning this summer. At a later date, the attraction will close completely for the finishing touches, but those dates have yet to be announced.
Starting today, the third track of Toy Story Midway Mania (which was added in the Summer of 2016) will be closed for a period to accommodate the needed construction. The original two tracks of the ride will undergo a closure as well in a few weeks time, which will be followed by a full closure of the attraction to accommodate the final changes that need to be made before Toy Story Land opens. Dates for these closures have yet to be announced at this time.
There’s been no official opening date for Toy Story Land announced yet, but it’s predicted the new land will be opened by Memorial Day weekend.
