UPDATE – Possible Construction of Walt Disney World Gondola System Started?

It’s possible that Walt Disney World is already starting on construction of the long-rumored aerial gondola system. Beyond the extensive construction at Caribbean Beach (one of the rumored stops) WDW News Today has snapped some photos of construction at the International Gateway in Epcot that could be tied to the system. You can see the photos here.

The rumored plan for the gondola system calls for it to connect the Epcot area resorts (Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs, Disney’s Boardwalk, Pop Century and Art of Animation) to Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and possibly Disney Springs. Given that papers have been uncovered and there is currently construction at all of these locations, it’s almost a sure thing.
