Guests at Walt Disney World will have the opportunity to spend more time in Pandora – The World of Avatar. Disney has announced Nightly Extra Magic Hours for the Animal Kingdom expansion beginning on May 27, 2017 and running through July 4, 2017. Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be open until 1 a.m. on these nights, however only Pandora – The World of Avatar will be open from 11 p.m. onward. This is likely to make sure that everyone who is making a trip to Disney just for the new attractions has the opportunity to experience them. Extra Magic Hours are only available to guests staying at select Disney resorts.
While there haven’t been a lot of details released about what Pandora will be like at night, it’s possible that the entire area will come alive with bioluminescence as depicted in the Avatar movie. Currently, only the Na’vi River Journey has been shown to use that technology.
When Will FastPasses Be Available for Pandora – The World of Avatar?
Beginning on March 24, guest will be able to use the My Disney Experience app to book FastPass+ for the new attractions in Pandora – The World of Avatar. These include Flight of Passage, a flight simulator, and the Na’vi River Journey, a new indoor water ride. FastPasses can only be booked up to 60 days in advance, so guests will be unable to secure FastPasses until they’re within the 60 day window.
