Annual Passes: Know Before You Go

Explore some important updates for Annual Passholders at Walt Disney World Resort.

Welcoming You Back to Walt Disney World Resort

Our Annual Passholders are some of our most loyal and valued Guests—and we’re truly excited to welcome you back. With that in mind, great thought has been put into the reopening of the Walt Disney World theme parks.
Initially, park capacity will be significantly limited—and may continue to be for a period of time, based on guidance from health experts to promote physical distancing. We understand how much excitement, thought and time goes into planning your Disney visits and realize some new changes may be disappointing. For example, during this unprecedented time, an annual pass will not guarantee park entry and Annual Passholders will be required to make an advance reservation to enter a park via the new Disney Park Pass system. Please note that:

  • UPDATE – Beginning January 1, 2021, we’re bringing back the ability to visit more than one park per day at Walt Disney World Resort with some new modifications.
    • We will set specific Park Hopper hours during which this option will be available. Park Hopper hours will start at 2 PM each day and end at the park’s scheduled close time. Guests will soon be able to check DisneyWorld.com/ParkHours and the My Disney Experience app for the most up-to-date Park Hopper hours, as they could start earlier at a later date, depending on the day and park.
    • With the updated Park Hopper experience, Annual Passholders must make a Disney Park Pass reservation for the first park they plan to visit AND enter that first park prior to visiting another.
    • At this time, a park reservation is not required after the first park, however, reservation requirements are subject to change. The ability to visit another park will be subject to the park’s capacity limitations and applicable pass blockout dates.
  • During the limited capacity period, it may be difficult for Annual Passholders to get park reservations to visit on certain dates.
  • Some pass benefits and features will not be available during periods of limited capacity. Also, park experiences and offerings have been modified and are subject to limited availability or even closure.
  • Annual Passholders staying at select Disney Resort or other select hotels with valid theme park admission are eligible to make theme park reservations for each day of their Resort stay(s), in addition to holding up to 3 days of theme park reservations at a time on a rolling basis. Once you use a theme park reservation, you can make another reservation for a future date.
  • All reservations are subject to availability and applicable pass blockout dates. Guests should ensure their pass type is valid for park entry prior to making a park reservation. To enter one of the parks, each Passholder is required to have a theme park reservation in addition to a valid annual pass.
  • Starting July 16, additional Disney Park Pass reservations will be offered to Annual Passholders for select dates in July and August at Magic Kingdom park, Epcot and Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park. Please note that this additional Disney Park Pass reservation availability does not reflect an increase in park attendance, which remains limited during this reopening period. View park reservation availability now.
  • Epcot After 4 PM Passholder Update – With updates to park hours starting September 8, Epcot After 4 PM Passholders can enjoy Epcot beginning at 2 PM on dates when the park closes at 7 PM To enter a park, both a park reservation and valid admission for the same park on the same date are required. Please note that park reservations are limited in number and subject to availability.

Please know we will be here to help you as we remain focused on delivering a wonderful experience for everyone who visits.

If you have any questions, please contact V.I.PASSHOLDER Support at (407) 939-7277. Options to manage your annual pass continue to be available.

Please review any advisories or restrictions in place for travel to Florida, and do not travel to or enter Walt Disney World Resort unless you are free of any COVID-19 symptoms and otherwise comply with the requirements of such advisories and restrictions. Learn more.

Water Parks Reopening Policies

While Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park remain closed at this time, pending government approvals, we currently plan to reopen one of the 2 Disney water parks on March 7, 2021. We may adjust our proposed reopening date, and if that happens, we will let Guests know what to expect in a future update. Since Guests can’t visit the Water Parks right now, we will be automatically issuing Platinum Plus and Premier Annual Passholders with water park access a partial refund.

  • Platinum Plus Passholders: If you are a Platinum Plus Passholder, this refund amount is based on the price difference between the price you paid for your Platinum Plus Pass and the price of a Platinum Annual Pass prorated by the number of days left on your pass prior to water park reopening, according to the details as to when partial refunds apply and how they are calculated.
  • Premier Passholders: If you are a Premier Passholder, you will receive a pro-rated refund based on the difference between a Walt Disney World Platinum Plus pass compared to the price of a Platinum pass prorated by the number of days left on your pass prior to Water Park reopening (excluding any additional extensions you may be eligible for due to the continued closure of Disneyland Resort) according to the details as to when partial refunds apply and how they are calculated.
  • Passholders on the Monthly Payment Program: For those on the Annual Pass monthly payment program, please note you will receive a lump sum refund as noted above; however, your ongoing monthly payment will not change.

Refunds will be automatically processed for your pass(es). You do not need to take any additional action. Refunds to the original form of payment can be expected by late October through early November 2020. If the original form of payment is not available, you should expect a check by late November.

Your pass will still include admission to Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course, and if Disney water parks and ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex reopen before your pass expires, you can visit them too.

Note: Platinum Plus renewals are not available at this time, but existing Platinum Plus Passholders will have the ability to select from a variety of passes once it’s time for their pass renewal.

Other Policy Updates and Refunds

During the closure period, we introduced policy adjustment options to help you manage your annual pass. As Walt Disney World Theme Parks have reopened, the election period for these policy updates has passed. If you have any questions or concerns on your elected options, please contact V.I.PASSHOLDER Support at (407) 939-7277. Explore details below.
If you are an Annual Passholder who paid in full:
All active Walt Disney World Resort theme park annual passes were extended for the number of days the parks were closed. The new expiration date is reflected on the Annual Passholder’s account at this time.As an alternative, and in lieu of an extension of their passes, Passholders who paid in full were able to receive a partial refund for the park closure period by contacting us. Please note if you elected this option during the closure period, these refunds are still being processed. If you are an Annual Passholder on the monthly payment plan:
On April 5, 2020, we automatically stopped and waived monthly payments during the theme park closure period. We also retroactively refunded payments made between March 14 through April 4, 2020. Payments will resume on the Passholder’s regularly scheduled payment dates starting July 11, 2020. Please note, pass expiration dates were not extended and pass(es) expire upon their originally scheduled expiration dates.

As an alternative, some Guests using our monthly payment program elected to have their monthly payments that would have been due from April 5, 2020 to July 10, 2020 postponed. Under this alternative, payments will resume on the Passholder’s next regularly scheduled payment date after July 10, 2020. Postponed payments will be collected in the months following the end of the Passholder’s currently scheduled payment term. The pass(es) will be extended the number of days the parks were closed. In early August, Guests that elected this option will receive a contract amendment which must be signed and returned to complete this election.
