Did you know that Disney Cruise Line offers something called the “Castaway Club?” The best thing about the Castaway Club is that it’s free!
Right about now, you’re asking- “How do I join this free club?” The good news is, if you’ve already completed your first sailing, you’re already in it. Disney’s Castaway Club is for guests who have sailed with Disney on at least one prior cruise. When you book your next cruise, your Castaway Club number will show on your reservation. There’s zero paperwork to be filled out on your end, Disney automatically creates a number for you. How magical is that?
There are different levels to the cub. Silver Castaway Club members are those who have sailed 1-4 times with Disney before. Those who have taken 5-9 sailings prior are Gold Castaway Club members. And guests who have completed over 10 prior cruises with Captain Mickey and his crew become Platinum Castaway Club members.
There are some great perks to being in the Castaway Club. Early booking when the new cruise itineraries are released, and earlier online check-in, meaning earlier access to booking those fun extras like Port Adventures and certain character experiences. Each member of the club will also receive a “Welcome Back Aboard” gift, unique to your membership level.
We’ll be cruising on our second Disney Cruise this March, and I can’t wait to come back as a silver Castaway Club member!
