If you’re planning to set sail on a Disney Cruise in the near future, this update is for you! Disney Cruise Line has just shared an update to their face-covering policy while onboard one of their ships. Previously guests were asked to wear a face-covering at all indoor locations, however, a major change is coming!
Beginning March 11, 2022, Disney Cruise Line will no longer be requiring guests to wear a face-covering; making them optional everywhere onboard EXCEPT when in The Walt Disney Theatres. Passengers under the age of 5 who are not currently able to get vaccinated, will still be required to wear their face-covering when participating in youth activity spaces or attending an appointment in the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.
According to an email being sent directly from the cruise line to guests with upcoming voyages: “Face coverings may be required in ports of call based on local government requirements, including in some areas at Disney Castaway Cay. Masks should also be worn in the cruise terminal during the boarding and screening process, as well as during disembarkation. Please be sure to review the information available on the Know Before You Go section of our website for answers to many frequently asked questions.”
