Netflix has released two trailers for Daredevil Season 3!

The first one was about Kingpin and Daredevil, and teased a copycat (Bullseye).

In this trailer Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) monologues about how he tried to help people but “darkness only responds to darkness.” We’ve seen Matt change a lot from the first season and through The Defenders. Going from someone who seemed to believe in the good and the law to a character that feels darkness is the only way to fight darkness.

Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio) will make a deal to release him from prison. He taunts Matt by saying “There’s only one way to stop me, but you aren’t going to do it.”

Murdock’s response is “You sure about that?”

Fisk (Kingpin) also threatens “I will tell the world who you really are.” In the comics he did indeed reveal Daredevil’s identity. So it’s possible their teasing that with the trailer as well.

Fisk won’t be the only villain this season. Fans are getting a new baddie with Bullseye (Wilson Bethel.) Bullseye has always been one of the main villains in the Daredevil franchise. The backstory in the comics had one version where Benjamin Poindexter, a burglar, became Bullseye, but Bethel had confirmed that his “FBI Agent 2” aka Agent  Benjamin Poindexter will become Bullseye. So instead of being a thief he’s an FBI agent.

Jeph Loeb also indicated that Bullseye will not start out as a villain but will be corrupted by Kingpin and manipulated into his vendetta against Daredevil.

The trailer also shows that Bullseye will impersonate Daredevil and Fisk will make claims that he is the true enemy. Of course the fake hero will create destruction and terror and  this will cause the people close to Matt Murdock to question his actions.

But this isn’t the only trailer released. Netflix/Marvel released another trailer at New York Comic Con (NYCC) this weekend. This one is called “Meet Agent Poindexter”.

Here we learn more about Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter.

In this trailer we see Agent Poindexter’s amazing aim and mental issues that lead to him becoming Bullseye. We also see more of the connection between him and Fisk as well as the danger to Matt’s friends.

This season looks like it is going to be action packed and exciting. I’m really looking forward to it!

Daredevil Season 3 premiers on October 19, 2018 exclusively on Netflix.
