Carthay Circle Lounge outdoor dining has been open since before the Parks officially opened, however Disneyland fans have been wondering when Disney’s California Adventure was going to open the actual Carthay Circle Restaurant. Well the wait is over Insiders! The Disney Parks Blog has officially announced that Carthay Circle will reopen for dinner on July 22, with bookings starting on July 20!
If you haven’t had a chance to dine at this restaurant yet, here is the official description of this glamorous restaurant:
Inside this plush Golden Age movie palace, sophisticated cuisine and retro cocktails have top billing.
Begin your epicurean experience with a selection of small plates, then explore dishes that take center stage, like Niman Ranch pork chop, Mary’s Chicken arugula salad, rigatoni pasta fagioli, grilled New York or the fresh fish of the day.
Pint-sized palates are sure to say “bravo” to dishes specially prepared for young gourmands. An array of indulgent desserts provide a satisfying finale to your stylish celebration.
The design and décor reflects the romance and glamour of that bygone era with rare artifacts and references to the early Disney era. Peruse Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Courvoisier cels—the only animated art ever to hang in Walt Disney’s home—and the charming pastoral scene from the movie painted on the ceiling of the main dining room.
I’ve dined here a few times in the past and this place is gorgeous. It’s perfect for dining with friends and family, date nights, celebrations, etc. Their menu can be a bit intimidating but if you aren’t afraid to try new things or you like fancy food, you’ll love what they have to offer!
