Summer is almost over, and the Halloween season is right around the corner, which basically means Christmas is already here…right?! While this year may seem to be flying by, we still have a few more months until the holiday season is in full swing. It’s something most of us look forward to every year because the festivities all around are just so, well, festive! While we all know Disney knows how to do the holidays, Universal does as well! They pull out all the stops every year, and this year is no different!
Universal Orlando has announced that the holiday season at the parks will run from November 12 through January 1, 2023. Here are some of the things you have to look forward to this year!
Harry Potter World
Join the celebration with seasonal shows and decorations in both Diagon Alley in Universal Studios Florida and Hogsmeade in Universal’s Islands of Adventure.
Hogwarts castle will light up for the holidays, and festive decor brightens up the streets of Hogsmeade in Universal’s Islands of Adventure and Diagon Alley in Universal Studios Florida. Sip on a hot Butterbeer while both the Frog Choir and Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees put a holiday spin on their performances.
Seasonal Merchandise
From Christmas ornaments to hats, scarves, and more, you can shop your jingle bells off at Port of Entry Christmas Shoppe in Islands of Adventure and Park Plaza Holiday Shop in Universal Studios.
Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s
Catch larger-than-life balloons plus appearances by Illumination’s Minions and characters from DreamWorks Animation’s Shrek and Madagascar films.
Grinchmas
During the holiday season, Seuss Landing at Universal’s Islands of Adventure is decorated with the holiday charm and cheer of Dr. Seuss’s Who-ville. Get together with the resident Whos and put a little snark in your holiday spirit with the Grinch. Enjoy the music and fun of the Who-liday Spectacular. Plus meet the maven of mischief, The Grinch, himself for a photo opportunity!
Capture Some Memories and Enjoy Seasonal Sweets and Treats
Look out around the parks for seasonal decor and characters decked out in holiday outfits. You might even snag a selfie with one. Share your pics and tag them with #UniversalHolidays.
‘Tis the season to be hungry. Give your taste buds a present this year with exclusive food and drink offerings in the theme parks and Universal CityWalk—from specialty doughnuts to holiday cocktails (21+ with valid photo ID) and more.
Mistletoe Pines
Take a stroll through Mistletoe Pines Village at Universal CityWalk and enjoy the charming atmosphere of a rustic town decorated for the holidays. Seasonal eats and drinks are available for purchase, as well as yuletide gifts and souvenirs.
Holidays at the Universal Hotels
Top off the most awesome celebration of the season with a stay at one of Universal’s spectacular hotels, where you’ll find even more themed food, decorations, and festivities.
Mannheim Steamroller
Celebrate the season with sensational scores of the best-selling holiday artist of all time. You can catch live performances at Universal Studios Florida on December 3, 4, 10, and 11.
