Yesterday we reported that The Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will be re-opening May 2, 2021! While the Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park still remain closed, we are one step closer to Disneyland re-opening!
If you are a Disney Vacation Club member, The Villas at the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa are amazing! The Resort offers up several different selections of rooms. They offer a Deluxe Studio, 1-Bedroom Villa, 2-Bedroom Villa, and a 3-Bedroom Grand Villa (sleeps up to 12!). All Villas include a fully equipped kitchen!
Here are top 3 perks of staying at The Grand Californian Hotel and Spa:
- The Swimming Pools!
If you are in Southern California you definitely want to stay somewhere with an awesome pool, especially in the summer! The Resort has a variety of pools to choose from including the Redwood pool, Mariposa pool, and Fountain pool. Every pool has something different to offer, but the Redwood pool is sure to be a hit for everyone in the family because of the 90-foot-long waterslide that curves around the giant stump of a Redwood tree!
2. The Dining (who doesn’t love food??)
The Grand Californian Hotel offers up two different dining options:
- Napa Rose: Serves upscale California fare and has an amazing selection of wine! Decor is inspired by the natural beauty of our Golden State with three different view options.
- Storyteller’s Cafe (one of my personal favorites!): I have been going to the Cafe inside The Grand Californian for years. This cafe offers character dining during breakfast and Brunch buffets. There is also a dinner buffet in the evenings or they have a regular dinner menu. I highly recommend their Roasted Corn Chowder!
3. The Convenient Theme Park Entrance to California Adventure Park!
If you’re staying at the Grand Californian Hotel and Spa you have access (if you have park admission) to the special entrance to California Adventure Park! Upon entering the park, you’ll be right near the Grizzly River Run rapids attraction!
Per the Disney Vacation Club website, the rooms start at 17 points per night.
Please note that during the initial reopening period of The Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, most dining, amenities, activities and services will be modified, limited in capacity or unavailable based on physical distancing and health guidelines. In addition, some areas and offerings will remain temporarily closed or unavailable.
