As the Walt Disney Company navigates through this unprecedented time as responsibly as we can, they have implemented a number of new safety measures based on guidance from health authorities, such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and appropriate government agencies, amid the phased reopening of Disney Springs on May 20th.
As a reminder, guests will have health screenings upon entering the shopping and dining area of Walt Disney World. Health screening locations are located in the second-floor exits of Orange and Lime parking garage, and the Marketplace entrance (this will serve guests from the pedestrian bridge).
Based on guidance from health authorities, anyone displaying a temperature of 100.4 F or above will be directed to an additional location for rescreening and assistance. Those with temperatures above 100.4 will not be allowed entry; those in their party will not be allowed entry either.
Guests are also required, as well as Cast Members to wear a face mask. On the Q&A section on the Disney Springs website, they have addressed some questions that guests have. One being, what happens if they don’t wear a mask?
Many on social media have also questioned how Disney plans to enforce the new guidelines and make sure everybody is wearing face masks? Disney Springs issued a response, and it looks like they are assembling a special team of Cast Members whose sole job is to engage with guests and make sure they are following the new guidelines.
What do you think of the new guidelines, will you be going to Disney Springs when they open on May 20th?
