Disney Cruise Line is getting ready to add another ship to its growing fleet, and this one could be very different from anything we’ve seen before.
The Disney Believe is scheduled to set sail in late 2027, becoming the fourth ship in Disney’s Wish-class lineup. While Disney has already given us our first look at the ship’s overall theme and some of its exterior and Grand Hall designs, there are still A LOT of unanswered questions.
And those questions are about to get answered.
Disney has announced that the full Disney Believe reveal is coming October 7, 2026, with Disney promising details about the ship’s homeport, itineraries, new venues and entertainment.
Until then, we’re taking everything Disney has already shown us — plus what we’ve seen from the Wish, Treasure and Destiny — and making our predictions for what could be onboard.
Here’s what we think Disney Cruise Line has in store for the Disney Believe.
✨ THE ENTIRE SHIP WILL REVOLVE AROUND ONE BIG IDEA
The Disney Believe isn’t being built around a single movie.
Instead, Disney is using a much broader concept: belief in yourself, belief in your dreams and the promise of what’s possible.
That gives Imagineers a LOT of freedom. Disney has already confirmed that stories including Encanto, Frozen, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Moana and The Little Mermaid will help shape experiences aboard the ship. And we think that’s going to be the key to understanding the Believe.
Rather than every area being tied to the exact same theme, we expect Disney to use different characters and stories to tell one larger story about dreams, courage, possibility and believing in something bigger.

🌺 MOANA WILL LIKELY BE ONE OF THE BIGGEST PRESENCES
This is already confirmed.
The centerpiece of the Disney Believe’s Grand Hall will be a bronze statue of Moana alongside Pua and Heihei, surrounded by design elements inspired by the South Pacific and Polynesian craftsmanship. And we think Moana could end up being much more important to the ship than simply the character in the atrium. The Grand Hall is essentially the heart of the Wish-class ships.
It’s where guests enter the ship, gather for entertainment and experience some of the biggest moments of the cruise. So having Moana at the center of that space tells us something.
OUR PREDICTION: We think Moana could appear throughout the ship through character appearances, entertainment, activities and possibly dining. And don’t be surprised if the Believe’s main arrival experience somehow incorporates the idea of setting off toward a new horizon, which fits both Moana and the Believe theme perfectly.
🧚 TINKER BELL IS TAKING OVER THE BOW
Disney has also revealed the ship’s bow artwork.
Tinker Bell will appear in a hand-painted filigree inspired by her original appearance in Peter Pan, with Peter, Wendy, Captain Hook and other characters incorporated into the design. This is classic Disney Cruise Line.
Every ship gets its own unique character artwork, and the Believe’s bow is getting a particularly magical treatment.
OUR PREDICTION: We think Peter Pan and Tinker Bell will have some kind of presence inside the ship as well. It could be a character experience. It could be an interactive children’s activity. Or Disney could surprise us with an entirely new Peter Pan-themed space. Either way, we don’t think Tinker Bell’s appearance on the bow is going to be the last time we see her.

🤠 BUZZ AND WOODY ARE GOING TO BE ON THE STERN
The other major exterior reveal is Woody and Buzz Lightyear.
The two Toy Story characters will appear on the stern, using giant yellow crayons to create the ship’s name in a playful style inspired by the Toy Story films.
It’s a fun choice because it gives the ship a completely different personality from the more elegant Grand Hall.
OUR PREDICTION: We’re expecting Pixar to have a bigger presence onboard than just Woody and Buzz. Disney could use Toy Story for kids’ programming, character appearances or interactive experiences. And considering how much Pixar has been incorporated into Disney Cruise Line’s newer ships, we wouldn’t be surprised to see several other Pixar favorites make appearances.
❄️ FROZEN COULD GET A MAJOR EXPERIENCE
Frozen is one of the stories Disney has specifically teased for the Believe.
That immediately makes us wonder whether Disney is planning something bigger than a simple character appearance. The Wish already features Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure, so Disney has already proven that Frozen can work extremely well as an immersive cruise experience.
OUR PREDICTION: We think Frozen will return in some form, but Disney could change things up rather than simply copying what’s already on the Wish. An entirely new Frozen dining concept, lounge or entertainment experience would make sense. And if Disney wants the Believe to feel genuinely new, we’d love to see Imagineering create something specifically for this ship.
🏠 ENCANTO COULD GET ITS BIGGEST CRUISE LINE EXPERIENCE YET
Of all the franchises Disney has teased, Encanto may be one of the most interesting.
Disney hasn’t simply mentioned the movie as a random piece of IP. It has specifically included Encanto among the stories shaping the ship’s experiences and entertainment. That opens the door to something much bigger.
OUR PREDICTION: We think Mirabel and the Madrigals could become major characters onboard, potentially through a stage production, family activity or character experience. And if Disney wants to create something truly memorable, we’d love to see the Casita itself become part of an interactive experience. Imagine walking into a space where the walls, doors and rooms actually respond to guests. That would fit the Believe’s theme perfectly.
🧜♀️ THE LITTLE MERMAID COULD BE THE BIG DINNER-THEATER SURPRISE
The Little Mermaid is another story Disney has specifically connected to the Believe. And there’s one area where we think this franchise could make a LOT of sense: dining entertainment.
Disney has experimented with immersive dinner shows on its newer ships, combining food, characters and live entertainment.
OUR PREDICTION: We think The Little Mermaid could become the basis for a brand-new entertainment dining experience. Think music, characters, elaborate sets and a story that unfolds around guests while they’re eating. Disney already has the technology and experience to pull something like this off.
🍎 WHAT ABOUT SNOW WHITE?
Disney has also specifically teased Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, including the idea of the story’s wishing wells. And this one could potentially be used in a completely different way.
OUR PREDICTION: We could see Snow White becoming the inspiration for a more sophisticated adults-oriented restaurant or lounge. The wishing-well concept could make for a beautiful setting, especially if Disney wants one of the ship’s premium spaces to feel more elegant and classic. A Snow White-inspired fine-dining restaurant would be something we’ve never really seen from Disney Cruise Line. And that’s exactly why we think it’s possible.
🎭 EXPECT AT LEAST ONE BRAND-NEW STAGE SHOW
This is one of our strongest predictions.
Disney Cruise Line’s newest ships are known for original stage productions, and Disney has already teased new entertainment experiences for the Believe.
OUR PREDICTION: We think the Believe will debut at least one completely original theatrical production. And we’re particularly interested in whether Disney chooses Encanto for one of the major shows. A Broadway-style Encanto production would make a LOT of sense for this ship. But we wouldn’t rule out Disney creating an entirely original show built around the concept of believing in yourself. That could actually fit the ship better than adapting another movie.
🍽️ WE EXPECT AT LEAST ONE RESTAURANT WE’VE NEVER SEEN BEFORE
This is another area where we’re expecting Disney to get creative. The Wish, Treasure and Destiny have all introduced new dining concepts, and Disney has promised new venue concepts for the Believe.
OUR PREDICTION: We’re expecting the Believe to have at least one completely original rotational restaurant. And possibly more. Disney has a chance to take everything it learned from the first three Wish-class ships and build something that feels more ambitious.
We could see:
🍽️ A new family dining concept
🥂 A new upscale adults-only restaurant
🎭 Entertainment dining
🍸 A brand-new signature lounge
🍦 New casual food locations
The big question is which Disney stories they’ll use.
🌌 WE’RE EXPECTING A COMPLETELY NEW LOUNGE
The Wish introduced spaces like Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge. The Treasure gave us the Haunted Mansion Parlor. The Destiny introduced additional villain-inspired spaces.
So what does the Believe get?
OUR PREDICTION:
We think Disney is going to create one lounge that becomes the ship’s big “WOW” moment. And this is where we think Disney could surprise everyone. Instead of simply adapting another popular movie, Imagineering could create a space based around an unexpected Disney classic or an entirely original concept. Something like a magical wishing well, dreamscape or interactive environment would fit the ship beautifully.
🧒 THE KIDS’ CLUBS WILL PROBABLY GET A MAJOR UPDATE
The Disney Wish introduced some of the most elaborate kids’ spaces Disney Cruise Line has ever built. By the time the Believe launches, Disney will have had several more years to see what families love — and what they don’t.
OUR PREDICTION: Expect the Believe’s youth spaces to incorporate interactive technology, character storytelling and multiple Disney/Pixar worlds. And don’t be surprised if Encanto, Frozen, Toy Story, Marvel or Star Wars show up in these areas.
AND YES… WE EXPECT SOME KIND OF NEW WATER ATTRACTION
Disney’s newer ships have increasingly emphasized outdoor recreation and water attractions.
OUR PREDICTION: We expect Disney to introduce some kind of new or reimagined water experience aboard the Believe. It could be another water coaster. It could be a family slide. Or it could be something we haven’t seen before. The Believe doesn’t necessarily need the biggest attraction in the fleet. It just needs something that gives guests a reason to say: “You can ONLY do this on the Believe.”
🚢 THE BIGGEST REVEAL IS STILL COMING
Here’s the crazy part:
We don’t actually know most of the ship yet. Disney has given us the Grand Hall, bow and stern designs and the broad list of stories that will influence the ship. But Disney’s October 7 reveal is expected to finally tell us about the homeport, itineraries, new venues and entertainment. So everything could change very soon. And that’s what makes the Disney Believe so interesting. We know enough to start putting the puzzle together…
…but we don’t know enough to see the entire picture.
