Disney has made yet another big update to the way you book your theme park ticket packages! Beginning June 8th, Disney Genie+ Service will no longer be available for advance purchase for dates remaining in 2022 and 2023. Guests will need to purchase Genie+ service via the My Disney Experience app on the morning of each day they plan to use it. This means you will no longer be able to add the Genie+ service to your theme park ticket packages in advance when initially booking your reservation. If you have already made this purchase in advance, your reservation will NOT be affected. The Disney Parks Blog claims this change comes from developing the guest’s overall experience, as they are quoted here: “This means that, moving forward, whether you have an Annual Pass, multi- or single-day ticket, you may only purchase Disney Genie+ service on the day of your visit via the app, one day at a time, subject to availability. We’re focused on delivering the best possible guest experience, and this adjustment will help manage the incredibly strong demand our guests have shown for Disney Genie+.”
