The last week has been filled with discussion about the Animal Kingdom Rafiki’s Planet Watch attraction.

At first it was announced that it would be going to a seasonal operation schedule. Then various cast members said they were being told full closure.

Now, it’s been confirmed to close on October 20, 2018, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

The final day for theme-park guests to visit the area will be Oct. 20, a Disney spokeswoman says.

There has been no replacement for the area announced yet. But Disney said the area will “remain open for cast members working on the animal-care team.”
