Production Weekly is reporting that there may be a Disney Villains show coming to the upcoming Disney Plus Streaming service. This makes a lot of sense as Disney villains are always very popular with fans. From merchandise to wishful rumors about a 5th Walt Disney World Villains Park, their popularity is growing. During special events at Disney Parks where the villains are featured the lines are long for the opportunity to meet them. So it makes total sense to utilize these amazing characters.
Shows like Disney’s Descendants and Once Upon a Time, and some of the live-action remakes, have made villains even more popular. It seems Disney wants to keep that trend going with a new show for their streaming service.
According to Production Weekly Steve Pearlman (Once Upon a Time) and Michael Seitzman (Quantico) are developing this new villians show. The production will start the second quarter of 2020 in Ireland. So far that’s about what we know.
They posted the following on Twitter:

The Disney Plus streaming service is supposed to launch sometime later this year. So far we’ve heard that there will be new Star Wars shows, Marvel Cinematic Universe shows, a High School Musical show as well as movies like the live-action Lady and the Tramp, and more coming to the new service. With Disney spending $500 million (and probably more than that) on the new content.
What do you think? Will you be subscribing to the Disney Plus service? Are you looking forward to a Disney villains show? Comment and let us know!
