Season of the Force has gone into full lightspeed at Disneyland Park! There are so many fun things to do, like going on Hyperspace Mountain, checking out the new scenes on Star Tours, building a lightsaber, meeting Star Wars characters, watching Fire of the Rising Moons in Galaxy’s Edge, etc. There are also some new food items to try during Season of the Force, and I tried a few things this past weekend. We all know food is a huge part of the experience at Disney parks, so let’s get right into the foodie reviews!
Fried Chicken Baos (Docking Bay 7 Food & Cargo)
Two Crispy Chicken Baos, Spicy Katsu Sauce, Creamy Slaw
This dish is FANTASTIC! Docking Bay 7 always has the best and most creative menu, in my opinion. I’ve never had one bad thing here, and usually, their menu items are on the healthier side for theme park food. Everything about this was amazing; the chicken is crispy, the sauce is perfect, and the slaw is the perfect addition for that extra crunch. I think it’s a little pricey for the portion size, but I’m giving this one a 10/10 for the taste of the food!
Pasaana Punch (Ronto Roasters)
Orange Juice, White Grape Juice, Red Passion Fruit and Hibiscus
Ronto Roasters hasn’t always done it for me when it comes to beverages, but this one is for sure a winner (10/10)! It’s an extremely refreshing and flavorful drink that pairs well with most food. It reminds me of a tropical beverage you would get on vacation. Don’t miss out on trying this one before it goes away!
Wookiee Parfait (Galactic Grill)
Chocolate Sponge Cake, Chocolate Pudding and Caramel Mousse on a Chocolate-Coffee Crust with Chocolate Pearls
Galactic Grill is also one of those spots where desserts can be a hit and a miss. I’ve never been a fan of their desserts, so I was a bit nervous for this one. That being said, this is one of the best dessert items I’ve had here (8/10!). The cake and pudding/mousse ratio could be a bit better (there’s hardly any cake), but this is decadent, rich, and every chocolate lover’s dream!
Ferrixian Fries (Galactic Grill)
Waffle Fries, Pork Chorizo, Chile de Arbol Cheese Sauce and Black Beans topped with Avocado Tomatillo Sauce, Green Onions and Oaxaca Cheese
If you love spice, this is one for you! I love spice, and this one made me crave water. If you are sensitive at all to spice, stay away! All the ingredients in this seemed super fresh, and it was really delicious. I think the sauce is what makes it spicy, though, and I loved every bite. This is a great snack item, and it’s definitely shareable! 10/10!
There are so many other food items to try during Season of the Force (running through June 2, 2024), and you can check out the full Foodie Guide here!
