According to InPark Magazine, yesterday, August 21, 2017, the construction crew working on the new Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge expansion, installed the piece that will make up the tallest point of the new land. By adding this piece it puts the infrastructure in place for the 130 foot tall “rock spire.”

Disneyland is ahead of Walt Disney world in construction, as it will open earlier in 2019 than it’s Florida Counterpart. Overall it’s expected that the new expansion for each park ” will include approximately 10,000 tons of structural steel and approximately 200,000 square feet of hand-carved rock work.”
I can’t wait to see how it continues to progress.
