On Friday August 7th, Cast Members learned they will be receiving care kits when they return back to work. CM’s will receive face masks, a thermometer, hand sanitizer, and cast resource material. Disneyland Resort shared the below video on its official Cast and Community Instagram Account with the caption:
“Cast members when the time comes to return back to work, you’ll receive a care kit including company-issued face coverings, hand sanitizer, a thermometer, and cast resources. Here’s what to look for when you pick yours up.”
Disneyland Resort Ambassadors also shared their own video confirming this news stating:

When Disneyland’s reopening was delayed, the major concern revolved around safety. Cast Members even went so far as to organize protests in the name of safety.
Disney has always maintained that safety is their top priority. Disney Parks Chief Medical Officer Dr. Pamela Hymel stated, “We’re taking a multi-pronged approach to our reopening, after considering the guidance of various governmental authorities and health agencies, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and recommendations from our team of health and safety experts. We’re also actively working with industry groups and research universities to discuss best practices.”
While Disney and Cast Member Unions have reached agreements on reopening protocols, furloughs, and the recalling process, there is still no word on a safety agreement.
There still has been no announcement as to when Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure park will reopen.
