Yesterday Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout opened at Disney California Adventure. It was previously the Tower of Terror, but it has been re-themed to fit the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. The ride looks amazing–It’s even soundtracked to Pat Benatar’s Hit Me With Your Best Shot! If you would like to see at POV ride through check it out HERE.
But, not everyone is aware of what the Tower of Terror was.
Two reporters, Sam Rubin and Henry DiCarlos from KTLA got a sneak peak on May 26, live on television. Just watch what happens. Poor Sam.
ABC30’s Cory James also wasn’t ready for what Rocket and the Guardians had in store for him.
Finally, poor Matt Johnson from Fox 11, Los Angeles, experienced the thrill of Mission Break-out. He looked like he was so happy to be there. Then it started.
I love the Tower of Terror and I can’t wait to see Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout, but I do understand how these poor guys might feel. Our daughter insisted on riding the Tower of Terror at Walt Disney World when she was 3. Since she was a taller child she could ride. Poor thing. I tried to talk her out of it, but she is stubborn. I had that middle seat in the back with no real place to hold on. I was there, in the air, trying to hold my daughter down better because she was freaking out. She definitely had the look of terror. Her legs were straight out in front of her, stiff a boards. That was 6 years, and several trips ago, and this year she says she might try it again. It took her 6 years to get over it enough to even consider riding it again.
