Galaxy’s Edge is such an impressive land, and once you step into it, you really feel as though you have gone to a galaxy far, far away. During all your exploring, you’re bound to work up a galaxy-sized appetite. If you want to have some fun and eat in Galaxy’s Edge, there is one quick-service dining spot that actually has a full menu of food items-Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. I went to Disneyland this past weekend and ate there for the first time ever, and it went beyond all of my expectations!
The inside is pretty massive and has plenty of really cool seating areas. You really feel as though you are eating in the docking area of a space ship and, of course, Disney does not hold back on even the tiniest of details. They do offer mobile ordering and is this is a pretty popular spot to dine (the line looked to be about 20+ minutes long when I went in at dinnertime) I would highly recommend mobile ordering. I set my pick-up time for 6:15 pm-6:45 pm; once I checked in, I only had to wait about 5 minutes before my food, drink, and dessert was ready to go! It really just saves so much time!

Right now, Docking Bay 7 has a couple of seasonal items, and I decided to get adventurous. I ordered the Ishi Tib-style Pasta with Braised Beef Bantha. I know, I know, sounds SUPER adventurous and wacky right? This dish features Beef Pot Roast, Coconut Curry Sauce, Pasta, and Mixed Vegetables. For my beverage, I ordered the Phattro, which is Gold Peak Unsweetened Tea, Minute Maid Lemonade, and Desert Pear.
The Ishi Tib-style Pasta with Braised Beef Bantha was amazing! The beef was extremely tender and well seasoned; the curry sauce had just the right amount of spice (it’s not enough to scare anyone away) and was really flavorful; the noodles were soft and held the sauce really well; the veggies were cooked perfectly. My only complaint was I wish there were more veggies because they were so good! This is a higher-priced dish for it being quick service, but I would hands down order this again and am hoping they decide to make it a permanent dish on their menu.

The Phattro drink I was wary of because I had tried a drink next door at Ronto Roasters before, and it was way too sweet and not refreshing. This drink was both refreshing and delicious. It had the hint of fruitiness I was looking for, and it wasn’t too powerful that it didn’t complement my meal well. I also highly recommend getting this if you are a fan of iced tea, lemonade, and desert pear!
For dessert, I tried this odd-looking concoction I’ve seen floating around social media for quite some time now and figured it was time to try it for myself-the Vintian Mineral Mousse. This dessert features Banana Brûlée-centered Dark Chocolate Mousse, Strawberry Mousse, Vanilla Chantilly, Chocolate Crumble, and a Cherry Garnish. Yes, there’s a lot going on with this dish…and it is DELICIOUS! This dessert is not overly sweet or rich. It’s smooth, and the flavors are light and flavorful, and I even had a really hard time picking a favorite flavor. This is shareable…but you might not want to! I already can’t wait to go back and have this again because it was so good!

Overall, between the ambiance and the quality of the food, I was thoroughly impressed by Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. If you find yourself in need of refueling while wandering around Galaxy’s Edge, this is the place to stop!
