Nestled into the outside center of the Disneyland Hotel is a tropical oasis filled with swaying palm trees, sparkling crystal blue pools, and amazing dining. It’s a spot that brings forth Southern California’s sunshine and fantastic weather. The Disneyland Hotel is one of my personal favorite spots to stay because it is close to both the theme parks and Downtown Disney, but it feels tucked away like it’s its own little vacation spot.
Another reason I love staying at the hotel is because of the pool (duh!) and the dining that is within walking distance.Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill is one very convenience spot to the pool and all three hotel Towers. It’s a quick-service spot that offers both walk up service and mobile order. Inspired by the Enchanted Tiki Room, this tranquil oasis offers travelers a spacious wraparound terrace surrounded by swaying palms. You can dine alfresco under tribal-print lanterns while taking in views of the pools at the Disneyland Hotel, or find a seat inside amidst island-inspired décor. Guests of the Disneyland Hotel can even enjoy meals poolside!

Awaken to breakfast favorites served until 11:00 AM, including Short Rib Steak and Eggs, Tangaroa Toast with a citrus custard and guava syrup, island-inspired avocado toast on Hawaiian bread with scrambled eggs, spiced ham lardons, and watermelon radish with a drizzle of hollandaise and edible flowers. My personal favorite breakfast item is the Avocado Toast, which features Smashed Avocado, Scrambled Eggs, Furikake Hollandaise, Spiced Ham Lardons and Fried Nori on Toasted Hawaiian Bread, topped with Microgreens, Watermelon Radish and Edible Flowers. It’s so flavorful, unique, and not at all heavy.

For lunch or dinner, hula over for a juicy Hawaiian platter with a choice of marinated short rib or teriyaki chicken, a fresh poke bowl, hot ramen, and delicious takoyaki with a drizzle of unagi and togarahi aioli. Little kahunas will find menu selections perfect for their mighty appetites.
Not only do they offer delicious entree items, but they also offer quick grab-and-go items. You can grab cereal, fruit cups, sandwiches, pastries, chips, and so much more! If you need your morning (or afternoon…or evening) coffee, they also have espresso specialties, freshly brewed coffees, and DOLE WHIP floats. Guests 21 and over can even add a splash of rum to their float!

You can dine at Tangaroa Terrace whether or not you are a guest of the Disneyland Hotel. This is the spot to head to if you’re looking for a quick to-go bite, a chill, laid-back meal by the pool, or want to enjoy a DOLE Whip surrounded by tiki torches and swaying palms!
