Walt Disney World’s upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy attraction ride vehicles have been revealed at the IAAPA 2018 convention in Orlando.
According to Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Bob Chapek, the Guardians roller coaster is “a one-of-a-kind experience that will feature an innovative ride system, and be one of the longest enclosed roller coasters in the world.”
The show building — which even now looms large over the Epcot skyline — is said to be able to house up to four Spaceship Earths.
The ride system is described as a “storytelling coaster.” The rotating cars will turn to face different elements (screens? animatronics?) along its massive route.
Disney is describing the Guardians coaster a "storytelling coaster." Each coaster car will be programmed to point riders in the direction of elements throughout the course of the ride.

This sounds somewhat similar to Universal Orlando attractions like Spider-Man and Transformers, but on a much more massive scale.
The Guardians ride system has been the subject of much speculation over the past few years. With one mystery down, there is still much we don’t know about this highly anticipated Marvel attraction, but I’m sure Disney will unveil all the details in due time.
Stay tuned to The Kingdom Insider for more information on the Guardians of the Galaxy attraction as it becomes available.
