The Ghirardelli Cafe is one of my favorite shops to go when I have a sweet tooth and am craving something chocolatey! The only Ghirardelli Cafe in Southern California is at Disney’s California Adventure, so naturally I was to infinity and beyond excited when they announced they were putting one in the park back in 2012!
This sweet shop is a little bit on the pricey side, but I try to make it a point to go in for a delicious Hot Cocoa during the winter, or a frozen drink or ice cream during the hot summer months. In my recent trip to California Adventure to visit Avenger’s Campus, it was brutally hot out so I stopped in and actually tried a frozen drink I’ve never tried before-the Frozen Hot Cocoa!
I absolutely love hot chocolate (I mean who doesn’t?) so I figured I couldn’t go wrong with a Frozen Hot Cocoa, and I was right! This drink features Hot Chocolate blended with ice and milk topped with whipped cream and Ghirardelli mini dark chocolate chips! I am not a coffee drinker and during the winter I love having a cup of hot cocoa in the mornings, so this was a great way to enjoy the drink during the summer when it’s hot outside!

Their menu also features items such as chocolate covered strawberries (is there anything better in life?!), chocolate brownies and cookies. If their featured shakes, sundaes, or sweet treats sounds like a little too much and you just want some ice cream, you can get flavors such as: Ghirardelli® Chocolate, Black Cherry Vanilla, Butter Pecan, Chocolate Chip, Cookie Dough, Cookies ‘n Cream, Espresso Chip, Mint Chocolate Chip, Raspberry Sorbet, Rocky Road, Strawberry, Vanilla, Vanilla – No sugar added, and Vanilla Coconut – Non-Dairy.
