If you are headed to Disneyland Resort for vacation, one of the best hotels you can stay at on property is the Disneyland Hotel. The hotel sits at the end of Downtown Disney and near the Monorail in Downtown Disney, which will take you right into Disneyland, where you can get dropped off right by Autopia in Tomorrowland. Everything you could possibly need (dining, pool, shopping, etc.) is just around the corner!

I have stayed at the Disneyland Hotel a handful of times over the past few years, and I recently stayed there during the D23 Expo weekend. It was super convenient, about a 10-12 minute walk to the Anaheim Convention Center from the hotel. After a long day at the Expo, it was nice to have a short walk back, access to the pool, and know that the parks are just right down the way. The hotel provides every comfort that guests need, and it has such a homey, welcoming feel that it’s hard to say goodbye at the end of your trip. The hotel has three different towers-Frontier, Fantasy, and Adventure. I stayed in the Adventure Tower (for the first time), and it is now my new favorite tower! The interior has Jungle Cruise vibes, and with my Premium View, I had fantastic pool views!
The rooms are beyond comfortable, with modern but classic vibes. With the press of a button, you can turn on the sparkling firework display on the headboards, and an enchanting Disney tune will play. There is plenty of closet space and spacious bathrooms, and the artwork is nostalgic. The rooms provide Disney magic and the utmost comfortability that will make you look forward to returning to your living quarters after a long day of adventure!

Because I had to wake up so early in the morning during my stay to make specific panels at the D23 Expo, I needed a quick breakfast that I could grab on my way out and eat while walking. The Disneyland Hotel Coffee House is just the spot if you have the same needs! The Coffee House opens at 6:00 AM and is open until noon. You can mobile order from the Disneyland App, which offers coffee, tea, pastries, breakfast sandwiches, sandwiches, soft serve, and more. I am not much of a breakfast person, but I ordered a Chocolate Croissant both mornings to fuel up before my long days ahead. It was more delicious than any Starbucks Chocolate Croissant I’ve ever had, and they have a microwave should you want to warm up your pastries which is super convenient! If you bring your own food to the hotel, you can pop into the Coffee House during the morning to heat up your own food!
Another cool option is that there are a few Downtown Disney restaurants you can mobile order from that will deliver to the Disneyland Hotel lobby. Save the walk and head down in your bathing suit cover-up or pajamas to pick up your food!

Should you want something else quick-service but not as grab-and-go as the Coffee House, other dining options include Tangaroa Terrace, Goofy’s Kitchen (character dining), and Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar. Plus, don’t forget you have easy access to Downtown Disney, so you can easily pop over to any of the dining locations there. Whether you want a meal, a snack, a DOLE whip, a tropical drink, etc., it is all conveniently right there!
As I mentioned before, the pools at the hotel are pretty fantastical! It’s a great area for both kids and adults to kick back and relax or make a splash. There are two retro-themed pools and two waterslides that everyone can enjoy. Make a big splash from the approximate 25-foot-high, 180-foot-long Red Monorail slide, or enjoy a more relaxing splashdown atop the 13-foot-high, 80-foot-long Yellow Monorail slide. A 2-lane mini slide designed for smaller children also spills out into a small pool, while pop jets, fountains, and a surging waterfall add to the fun. This nostalgic water play area is topped by a “Disneyland” sign reminiscent of the park’s classic years. During select times throughout the day, you can also enjoy food and beverage service at the pools from nearby Trader Sam’s – Enchanted Tiki Bar and Tangaroa Terrace – Casual Island Dining.
