We are now at the tail end of getting back to complete normalcy at Walt Disney World! Due to a judicial decision in our federal court system, the mask mandate has been overturned. In response to this announcement, Walt Disney World has announced that face masks are no longer required on enclosed Disney transportation. They recommend that guests who are not fully vaccinated continue wearing face coverings in all indoor locations, including indoor attractions and theaters, and on enclosed transportation.
Walt Disney World previously required face coverings for all guests aboard Disney buses and monorails, regardless of vaccination status. Last month, Disney made masks optional for fully vaccinated guests aboard the Disney Skyliner. This is very exciting, and this news follows the recent announcement that non-distanced meet and greets with Disney Characters have returned (as of this week!). It’s been a long two and half years of dealing with COVID-19 rules, policies, and guidelines, and we know this news will be a relief for many. It seems this is the end of face masks at Disney World, and we can only hope that everything continues to head in a positive direction!
Disneyland still has not updated its website to reflect the same face mask change, but we anticipate that they will update their face mask policy on their website soon!
