Lt. Dan is at it again as families of fallen soldiers are headed to Walt Disney World thanks to the Gary Sinise Foundation.

Every year, the foundation run by the actor famous for “Forrest Gump” sends hundreds of Gold Star families, those that have lost a member of the military, on a retreat, and since 2017 that has been a visit to Walt Disney World on what is called the Snowball Express.
“The holidays can be especially challenging for grieving families,” reads a statement on the foundation website. “Each December, we host a five-day experience for 1,750+ children of the fallen and their surviving parent or guardian. As a therapeutic retreat with a blend of fun and inspiring programs, these families can lean on their peers for support.”
The foundation has partnered with American Airlines to transport more than 1,000 children from Gold Star families for a five-day trip to Orlando that “pays tribute to their sacrifice,” rAhead of this year’s trip, the foundation posted a video from the 2018 visit with some moving quotes from families’ experiences.
