Disney has released the first photo of the untitled upcoming Han Solo spinoff film via Twitter.

The film, written by veteran Star Wars scribe Lawrence Kasdan and directed by LEGO (movie) maniacs Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, isn’t hitting theaters until 2018, but it’s already boasting an impressive cast. With Alden Ehrenreich as a young Han Solo already rockin’ a leather jacket, and Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian growing out his ‘stache, this movie already seems like it’s going to be a lighthearted, bouncy space adventure as opposed to the somber Rogue One.
Also joining the cast is Woody Harrelson and Emilia Clarke in unknown roles. Not pictured is actress Thandie Newton, who might be playing the role of Sana Starros, a character from the (now canonical) comics who claimed to be Han Solo’s wife.
The movie is billed as a “space western,” and I can see Han and Lando trying to outdo each other as “frenemies” turned uneasy allies, and eventually becoming friends — who occasionally double-cross each other.
Han Solo hits theaters in December 2018. But never fear, my impatient padawans — Star Wars Episode VIII – The Last Jedi premieres this December.
