Someone must not have lit the black flame candle.
Remember the incredibly awesome photos the Disney Parks Blog posted of the upcoming Sanderson Sister merchandise for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party(MNSSHP)? Well, it appears that they aren’t appearing this year.
The nice folks over at Chip and Company, posted about this after the first party. They noticed a lack of Hocus Pocus and asked around. Here’s what they said they found out:
“The news we are hearing from Disney insiders is that the merchandise simply did not show up in time for the first party. In addition, sources are suggesting it may not be available at all. Word on the street is that there is actually a legal/copyright issue with the items meaning that they may never be available for distribution. At the moment this is just speculation as we await official word from Disney on the matter.”
Now I know that Spencers has a bunch of Hocus Pocus merchandise this year. Not sure if that is where a “copyright” issue might be happening.
At this point in time we don’t know if the merchandise is coming or it it’s totally a No go. But the Disney Parks Blog took it down from their previous article, so that might give us an answer. But it really sucks if you were one of those people selling “pre-orders” on eBay for these pieces as they seem to be a “Just a bunch of Hocus Pocus.”
This is an ongoing story and we will update if the merchandise does show up.
Are you disappointed? Comment and let us know what you think!
