It’s all treats & no tricks here when it comes to helping you get the most out of your experience this year at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party! Guests with party tickets can access the Magic Kingdom beginning at 4:00 pm; that means you have roughly 7 hours to make the most of your spooky experience. Let’s chat about how to do just that!
Get your wristband, party map & trick or treat bag right at 4:00 pm, even if you’re already in the park. Cast Members will start checking for wristbands and funneling out guests without them; if you’re already in the park you can go to a satellite station (Tortuga Tavern, or Tomorrowland Bridge Entrance…etc.)
(if you’re already in the park…) make sure that you do eventually go back up to the park entrance if you choose to get your wristband & bag at a satellite location. You won’t want to miss the trolley photo-op and trick-or-treating trail that opens up for partygoers!
Line up for characters early. If you have your heart set on meeting a certain character during the Halloween party, get in line EARLY. We know this may sound crazy, but guests will start lining up at 4:30-5 pm for party characters that start at 7:00 pm. If you wait til the party starts, lines will be 2-3 hours long! That’s a whole lot of party time you paid for, wasted standing in line. Get a snack and get in line early so you can knock them out right at 7:00 pm when they start.
Prioritize party-exclusive snacks. This tip is for the foodies! While there are many Halloween-themed snacks available, only certain ones are exclusive to the party! There are some, like the orange cinnamon roll Mickey head at Main Street Bakery, that are season-themed, but available all day! If you’re trying to hit the snack booths, focus on the exclusive items first; you can always try the others on a regular park day in the Magic Kingdom.
Plan out your entertainment times in advance. Weather can be a huge factor if there’s a chance of rain or thunderstorms! Every party offers multiple showtimes for both the Hocus Pocus Spelltacular castle show and the Boo To You Parade. If there’s a chance of rain later, plan to go to the first ones, or vice versa. You don’t want to plan to see the last showings and them be canceled due to weather. There is only ONE time slot for the fireworks; make note of it so that you don’t miss them! Your party map will have all showing times listed for you.
Purchase party-exclusive merchandise right at 7:00 pm. If you have your heart set on purchasing any party-exclusive merchandise, plan to do it right away! Quantities are very limited and things will sell out. Party merch can be found at the Emporium on Main Street USA, and at Star Traders in Tomorrowland. PROTIP: Check Star Traders a little early, they put their party merch out well before the Emporium did!
Trick-or-Treating is inclusive, YAY! Have a food allergy? No worries at all, you can still participate in trick-or-treating around the park! All you have to do is ask a cast member for a teal-colored bag at check-in and receive tokens at each candy stop. You can then cash these tokens in at the allergy center for special treats safe for you to eat!
Prioritize attractions with overlays. Certain attractions will have a fun Halloween twist during the party! These attractions include Space Mountain, Mad Tea Party, and Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor! All are denoted in your party map.
